hittin that high water mark
i'm really quite happy with the new songs on the oasis
disc...right now i'm listening to falling down...
lots of dark agnostic/ apocalyptic religion in noel
gallagher's lyrics...it informs my mood anyway...and
by way of inspiration i'm playing more guitar than
i have in like 5 years so that's gotta be a good thing...
working for certain these days...gonna start playing hard
soon too...back to nyc before the christmas trees come
down...

pacific ocean blue

I've never seen the light
That people talk about
You open up my wallet
And dust falls out
That's alright with me
Because the songs that I'll sing
Won't be blue mmm yeah
Honey you and I
No more lonely nights
I'll never make the headlines
Or the evening news
There won't be rags to riches
Story for me oh
But the songs that I sing
Won't be blue
Uh yeah
Honey you and I ooh you and I
No more lonely nights
Take me there
The truth the faith I have in you
Yeah yeah yeah
It's our melody
It's what we do together
My Jesus you open up my heart
You make me laugh
When I'm feelin' down
No more lonely nights

libertarian rant
coming out of the november elections, one thing is for sure: sameness will still head the executive branch of our country. I could be more pleased by both candidates but at least the country will be run by an elitist. both candidates are only slight nuances apart despite the hundreds of millions of dollars they will spend to convince the american citizen otherwise.
in america, where the citizen is supposed to be sovereign, we will still have higher taxes on businesses and entrepreneurs than any other country besides japan, we will still have more senseless wars, and we will still have to participate in the massive system of redistribution of wealth. and yes, in 10 years you will still be going to gas stations, because changes like that are determined by the free market not unfulfillable promises of politicians.
imagine you work hard your entire life, save and invest, maybe start your own company. when you die, your estate tax will be 50% of what you have. how will the estate pay this tax due on the date of death? by selling assests or borrowing. where does this money then go? perhaps overseas to support an arab regime (guess what country supported saddam hussein in the 1980s?) or perhaps to the lakota sioux tribe (i wonder if you've heard of this third world country within our borders). ever wonder where your income tax dollars go? money is taken, and money is given and the citizen is still sovereign?
but rest assured good american, that the $600/1200 tax rebate given by bush, and the $1000 rebate being offered by obama will not come from this redistribution of wealth. they simply print the money off at the unaudited Federal Reserve, what could be easier! the value of the dollar is sheer faith anyway, and so why not partake in the evangelism of inflation? the poor poor. they are hit the hardest by inflation as the price of goods is always far in front of an increase in pay. republicrats are all aboard the same ship, they are merely jostling for who gets to have their picture taken steering.
lately i have devoted some time to the study of economics and the constitution. one of the outcomes of this is to stand back in amazement at so many people who politic ad nauseum and wonder whether they have ever read gouverneur morris' fine document of 1787. it is easy to read. my suspicion is that people have spent too much time with their tellies on fox news or msnbc and are blind to the reality that the two seemingly opposing sides are enigmatically perpetuating the wrong course.
of course i wonder if looking into all of this has achieved anything other than a first class one way window seat to frustration station. ahh politics as usual.

Christy and Autumn's Book
I'm pretty excited for a couple of my friends in Texas. They just
finished writing a book and now it is on Amazon! It is currently
#905,280 and climbing up the charts. So get on there and buy a
copy. It should be released soon. Oh yeah, it's called Unearth.
You can find out a little more about it here as well.
